Days 2 & 3 - The Hunter Valley
we spent one day and two nights in the Hunter Valley, this period is now known as the "pamper-period" as it was the only time we had access to showers. oh yeah, and we stayed under a roof and were surrounded by 4 walls. oh yeah...also, we had breakfast cooked for us (homemade croissant...) and were driven around to a number of wineries, by a funny guy called bradley, where we did nothing but taste many many wines. red, white, rose...shiraz, cab sauv, riesling, mausanne, muscat, the glory that is hunter semillon and many others that i forget at the present time. we also sampled fudge, cheeses, olives and so-called "belgian" chocolate. we knew we wouldn't be showering for the next week or so...so we made the most of our time here. and we were lucky, it was gloriously sunny and hot hot hot. makes that semillon all that much easier to drink...the above picture was taken just outside Peterson's Winery.
