this is the inside of the first Mr. Tyrrell's house. well, house...it was more of a shack really. in any case, the Tyrrell family was the first to start making wine in the hunter valley, they have vines there that are over 160 years old or something ridiculous like that. we tasted wine from those vines. yum. we also bought a bottle of 1998 Tyrrell's Brokenback Shiraz. easily the smoothest red i have ever tried. like silk.
