this is our tent. as you can see, the ocean was rather close. you may also notice the reef, in the distance. the beauty about the Ningaloo Reef is that it comes right up to the shore. it is one of the only places in the world where this happens. so we were able to hop into our snorkeling gear and be able to see an abundance of marine life. octopus, sharks, rays, parrot fish, squid, clown fish, star fish, trevally and so on and so forth. just the quantity of life in this park was staggering. almost unspoilt. oh yeah, and turtles. and like i said, a mere 100m away.
