so, after a nice week and a half in Lennox Head, we hit the road again, seeking our fortune. we decided to head up to Cairns, in North Queensland, as we had heard about work and warm, no HOT, weather. it also happens to be the only time of the year when one can swim in the ocean because from october to may there are deadly jellyfish lurking. it is also over 40 degrees and humid like swamp. speaking of swamps, there are crocodiles up here too, rivers and creeks are signposted: do not bathe due to crocodiles. hmmmm.

well it is nice to see even the rain in that country, so u r now in the tropical climate, finally, warmth for u.
last night around 6pm here back in mtl, there was one of those tropical rain storm where it was a curtain of warm water coming down and all the drains were gurgling as if they were going to explose, man! I was praying our roof could stand that abuse without a fail, and I am happy to report it did, ouf!!! but the bath in the basement was covered with black water and dirt, YUK! the gurgling found an easy exit without making a mess in the house, youppie! It went on for about 10 minutes, apparently Décarie North had to be closed because the rain had no time to escape and it was getting
way too deep for car to drive safely through.
