on the 18th, it was samantha's birthday. it was a sunny sunny day and we took advantage of this fact to do just about everything one should if one were to spend one's birthday in melbourne. breakfast at Retro's, shopping along Brunswick St, in Fitzroy, followed by a pitcher of beer, known here as a "jug" before heading to st-kilda for an extravagant night of wining and dining.
